Safer Gambling Campaign supporters 2019

Bet Regret
As part of our commitment to transparency, GambleAware is publishing the list of donations and pledges towards the Safer Gambling Campaign, titled ‘Bet Regret’.
The Campaign was developed and launched following a commitment by the industry and broadcasters for a new Safer Gambling Campaign to be funded by the broadcasters and the gambling industry but independently delivered by GambleAware to run for two years (2019/20 and 2020/21) with a budget of £5-7m per year. The aim is to raise public awareness of the risks associated with gambling.
In 2019 we asked the top 20 operators* to support the Campaign with a donation based on a percentage of their GB marketing spend in 2017 and 2018. Total amount of money received by GambleAware for the first year of the Campaign (2019) totalled £3,805,567.
These donations are in addition to ordinary RET voluntary contributions. The Campaign is overseen by a separate and independent Safer Gambling Board chaired by Professor Sian Griffiths, GambleAware Trustee and Deputy Chair, Public Health England (Interim).
On behalf of the Safer Gambling Board, GambleAware thanks all supporters for their much valued contribution.
*Safer Gambling Campaign is funded entirely from these 20 operators and media inventory donations.
